Our regular Alberta Christmas luncheon opened to customers, vendors, and other business partners could not take place this year, but our staff still celebrated Christmas together (socially distant) with a catered lunch to keep up the cheer!
The staff at Hardy sales raised $1,436.50 with the combined efforts of Hot Dog Friday and Jeans day this year! Staff votes chose the CKNW Kids fund, Jeremy's Memorial Foundation, and United Way of the lower mainland as the charities to support.
Our annual Christmas gift exchange took place today, with new rules due to social distancing protocols. Instead of the regular white elephant exchange with stealing, participants had 20 seconds to pick a gift or get sent to the back of the line! You touch you take, with picking order established by a random draw.
On December 8th the Christmas spirit continued to grow at the Hardy Sales BC and Alberta offices as they took part in the Gingerbread house day. Everyone received a Gingerbread kit they could build at their desk, adding to our village in the boardroom. Staff showcased their humor and creativity, coming up with unique takes on a Christmas classic!
With our Christmas party cancelled for 2020, our first Christmas cheer event took place on December 1st, the Hardy Sales First Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater competition. First place and trophy winner was the Small Carrot Snowman sweater, followed by Christmas Birds at second and Yuletide Fire for third. The best remote sweater award went to Pugs and Poo, and the most homemade sweater went to Toilet Paper Log Fire.
Judging was based on creativity, originality and home-made sweaters given more weight than store bought.
